For the BlackRock Dance Festival and Choreographers Showcase/2024, Word Dance Theater is presenting a company of 6 professional modern dancers trained in the dance technique of Isadora Duncan (1877-1927), considered the Mother of Modern Dance.  Our production, titled Beauty and Her Shadow will highlight the classically beautiful Duncan choreography in juxtaposition to contemporary images and spoken word that amplify and deepen our investigation of “what is beauty now?”.  Join us for a rich and, yes, beautiful hour of dance/theater followed by a talk-back with the audience.
